Expositions- bzw. Reizkonfrontationsverfahren sind wichtige Bestandteile der kognitiven Verhaltenstherapie und gelten insbesondere bei der Behandlung von Angststörungen, wie Agoraphobie, spezifischen Phobien und Zwangsstörungen, als Methode der Wahl.
Das Seminar „Expositionsverfahren bei verschiedenen psychischen Störungen“ soll sowohl einen theoretischen wie auch praktischen Einblick in die therapeutische Anwendung von Reizkonfrontationen geben. Zunächst werden im Plenum die Vorbereitung des Patienten auf die Exposition, die gemeinsame Planung der Exposition mit dem Patienten und die Durchführung der Exposition erarbeitet. Diese Grundkenntnisse sollen anschließend im Rahmen von Rollenspielen in Kleingruppen eingeübt und modifiziert werden.
