Für das Jahr 2016 hat sich die Museumsinitiative OWL auf ein Themenjahr zu "Körperkultur" festgelegt. Das bedeutet, dass viele Museen der Region Ausstellungen zu diesem Leitthema vorbereiten. In diesem Zusammenhang kooperiert unsere Fakultät mit dem Ziegelei-Museum in Lage, um eine Ausstellung zu "Körperkultur und Arbeit im Nationalsozialismus" zu erarbeiten.
Als Projektseminar läuft diese Veranstaltung über zwei Semester (WS 2015/16 und SS 2016). Als Alternative zu außeruniversitärem Praktikum + Übung deckt die Veranstaltung das gesamt Modul "Geschichte und Öffentlichkeit" ab. Von den Studierenden wird eine kontinuierliche Arbeit am Projekt erwartet, zum Teil und nach Absprache auch in der vorlesungsfreien Zeit. Außerdem sollte die Bereitschaft bestehen, in der Endphase des Projekts auch Blocktermine zu vereinbaren.
Sollten Studierende nicht über zwei Semester teilnehmen können, lässt sich der erste Teil, der u. a. die theoretischen Grundlagen für die praktische Museumsarbeit legt, auch als Übung im Modul "Geschichte und Öffentlichkeit" anrechnen.
