Die Vorlesung beschäftigt sich mit dem (objektiven wie subjektiven) Quantifizieren und Ordnen von Risiken sowie ihrer Versicherung auf Märkten.
Nach einer Wiederholung der wesentlichen wahrscheinlichkeitstheoretischen Konzepte ordnen wir Risiken zunächst mit Hilfe des Begriffes der stochastischen Dominanz und untersuchen, inwiefern man mit dieser Hilfe bereits ökonomische Entscheidungen treffen kann. Dann verfeinern wir ddie Analyse durch die Einführung der Erwartungsnutzentheorie und führen den Begriff der Risikoaversion für monetäre Lotterien ein. Mit Hilfe dieser Theorie können wir dann subjektiv optimale Entscheidungen bei Versicherungs- und Finanzproblemen untersuchen. Schließlich beschäftigen wir uns noch mit den Prinzipien der Lebens- und Schadensversicherung sowie neueren Ansätzen der Risikomessung auf Finanzmärkten.
