In diesem Seminar beschäftigen wir uns mit der ‚objektiven‘ und ‚subjektiven‘ Bedeutung des Lebensverlaufs. Lebenslauf als gesellschaftlich strukturierende, zeitliche Ordnung zum einen und Biographie als subjektive Sinnmachung (und Erzählung) der eigenen Lebensbewegung zum anderen, gelten als zentrale Kategorien für die Wissenschaft und Praxis Sozialer Arbeit. Wie und inwiefern das zutrifft, soll im Seminar diskutiert werden. Dazu werden wir uns zum einen mit Theorien zu Lebenslauf und Biographie beschäftigen (u.a. soziale Konstruiertheit von Biographie; Lebenslaufpolitik als staatliche Steuerung), zum anderen auf die Rolle der beiden Kategorien für die Praxis Sozialer Arbeit eingehen (u.a. biographische Fallarbeit; lebenslaufpolitische Risikobearbeitung) und außerdem die wissenschaftliche Erforschung von Lebenslauf und Biographie thematisieren (u.a. Forschungsmethoden und Erklärungspotentiale).

Leistungserbringung: Benotete und unbenotete Prüfungsleistungen können anhand einer Hausarbeit oder einer mündlichen Präsentation mit Ausarbeitung erbracht werden. Die Anforderungen für eine Studienleistung/AT werden in der ersten Sitzung bekannt gegeben.
