Im Masterkolloquium lernen die Studierenden die angemessene Präsentation wissenschaftlicher Themen und ihre Behandlung in einer Diskussionskultur. Außerdem lernen die Studierenden, Fragestellungen, Zielsetzungen, Verfahrensweisen, den Aufbau ihrer Masterarbeit sowie gegebenenfalls (erste) Ergebnisse ihren Kommilitoninnen und Kommilitonen in einem (Kurz-)Vortrag vorzustellen, deren Fragen dazu zu beantworten, sich mit kritischen Einwendungen produktiv auseinanderzusetzen, (brauchbaren) Hinweisen nachzugehen und diese in ihre Arbeit zu integrieren. Als Rezipienten lernen sie, den Präsentationen anderer Studierender im Kolloquium inhaltlich zu folgen, um Erläuterungen und gegebenenfalls Begründungen zu bitten sowie kritische Fragen und konstruktive Vorschläge zur Diskussion zu stellen.
