Künstliche konversationale Agenten finden sich in immer mehr Bereichen: z.B. als (wenig geliebte) Auskunftssysteme am Telephon, als künstliche Charaktere in interaktiven Lernprogrammen oder Computerspielen, oder seit kurzer Zeit auch als -- stark beworbene -- "intelligente Assistenten" in Mobiltelephonen.
In dieser Veranstaltung wird menschliche Kommunikation / der Dialog betrachtet aus dem Blickwinkel der Simulation in künstlichen Systemen. Es werden relevante Phänomene beleuchtet und diskutiert, inwiefern diese Schwierigkeiten bringen für die Modellierung von Dialog in künstlichen Systemen.
Nach einer allgemeinen Einleitung werden die Teilnehmer anhand bereitgestellter Literatur einzelne Themen aus diesem Bereich in Referaten darstellen. Ebenfalls werden die Phänomene praktisch anhand von Interaktionsbeispielen untersucht.
