In this study group we will deal intensively with the topic racism and the structural problem of everyday racism. We will familiarise ourselves with the terminology used in scholarly discourse and other contexts related to this topic, share our own experiences, analyse case studies where people talk about their own experiences and discuss how or to what extent we can address racism. The aim of this study group is to improve our knowledge about racism and to increase self-awareness.
As this is a student-led study group and not a seminar, participants are expected to show commitment and support by making full contributions in terms of doing research, reading literature, presenting material, taking part in discussions and deciding on content.
Anyone who wants to participate is more than welcome!
Please note that the credit points for Study Groups are NOT recorded separately in your transcripts! The study group leaders send me a list of successful participants at the end of the group, and I, Pat Skorge, share this with my colleagues who are responsible for supervising the Internationalisation at Home modules. Please make sure you sign up for
230274 Praktische Erfahrung für Internationalisierung at home (9 LP) (Pr) [ Skorge, Louloudi ]
230275 Modulprüfung 23-ANG-IntH: Internationalisierung at home (MDP) [ Skorge, Louloudi ]
so that all your Int@Home points can be registered by the Prüfungsamt WHEN YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY SUBMITTED YOUR FINAL REPORT. Before that, your points will not appear. (Points for FSZ courses only appear because of their credit system - they become "Int@Home" points anyway.)

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
