Um Schule systematisch weiterzuentwickeln bedarf es des Rückgriffs auf theoretische Modelle. Die Einzelschule als lernende Organisation zu definieren ist eine wichtige Position innerhalb der Schulentwicklung. Durch sie soll die Qualität und die Qualitätssicherung an Schulen verbessert werden. Verband man Schulentwicklung lange Zeit vorwiegend mit Methodentraining, Kommunikationstraining und Teamentwicklung, ist sie heute stärker auf die Entwicklung der Persönlichkeit von Schüler und Lehrer ausgerichtet. Damit einhergehend stellt sich verstärkt die Frage nach den personalen und psychologischen Anforderungen an den Lehrerberuf und nach den nötigen selbstreflexiven und empathischen Schlüsselkompetenzen der Erziehenden.
Die Veranstaltung ist als Lektüreseminar angelegt und soll einen Überblick über die einzelnen Aspekte der Schulentwicklung geben. Grundlage wird das Buch "Theorie und Praxis der Schulentwicklung" von Per Dalin sein. Im Seminar werden einzelne Kapitel gelesen und bearbeitet.
