Ziel des Tutoriums ist es, auf die individuellen Bedürfnisse in Bezug auf den Schreibprozess einzugehen. Bereits zu Beginn des Studiums werden somit die grundlegenden Kompetenzen des Verfassens wissenschaftlicher Texte in der Philosophie erworben und ergänzend zu den Schreiben-Kursen gefestigt. Die Teilnehmer haben die Möglichkeit, sich mit anderen Studierenden auszutauschen und durch gegenseitige Korrektur selbst verfasster Texte von- und miteinander zu lernen. Dies wird zusätzlich durch Übungen zu verschiedenen Themen rund um das Schreiben ergänzt.
Neben diesen Konzepten des Austauschs und miteinander Lernens werden grundsätzliche Fragen zur Organisation, der Struktur und den formalen Anforderungen wissenschaftlicher Texte im Studium thematisiert. Zu diesen Feldern gehören auch:
- Recherche
- Zitieren und Paraphrasieren
- Themenfindung und -eingrenzung
- Unterstützung bei Schreibblockaden
- Umgang mit der wissenschaftlichen Sprache
- Kritik geben und nehmen
