Urbanisation is an irreversible reality of our era and shows no signs of slowing down. Cities forces organisms to experience abrupt and quick changes in their environment and they provide researchers with an amazing lab at our doorstep. In this lecture series, we will address different topics on urban ecology and combine them with small city excursions and excercises. This course will teach you how urbanisation influences different ecological parameters and how wildlife responds to these drastic alterations. This course is important for anyone who is interested in the impact of city life. All lectures will be held in English.
