Bei dieser Veranstaltung handelt es sich um eine Exkursion in die Natur der Lüneburger Heide, Deutschland. Dieser Kurs bietet eine einmalige Gelegenheit, die ökologische Vielfalt des Exkursionsortes zu entdecken. In dieser Exkursion erlangen die Teilnehmer:innen umfassende Kenntnisse über die Pflanzen- und Tierwelt der lokalen Ökosysteme sowie über verschiedene Feldforschungsmethoden, theoretisch als auch praktisch. Besonders ist der forschungsorientierte Ansatz, der die Studierenden aktiv ins Forscher:innendasein einführt und die Möglichkeit gibt das forschende Lernen als unterrichtspraktischen Ansatz kennenzulernen. Übernachtet wird in einer nahegelegenen Unterkunft, wobei die Verpflegung gemeinschaftlich organisiert wird. Es wird im Juli eine Informationsveranstaltung stattfinden.

Die Platzvergabe an der Exkursion wird nach der Informationsveranstaltung stattfinden. Die Teilnahme ist für alle Studiengänge der Biologie, Umweltwissenschaften und Sachunterricht möglich.
