In this course we will learn about, try out and reflect on different approaches to language teaching and put them into practice in microteaching sequences you prepare in the course of the block seminar. These will focus on activities designed to encourage students to communicate and collaborate in the classroom, with a particular focus on highly heterogeneous learning groups.
Readings will be provided.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
For a Studienleistung, you will work in groups to prepare and present a microteaching unit applying one of the methods discussed in class, together with slides giving a quick-reference overview of the key features of the method which you will upload after the microteaching so everyone in the course can refer to it.
