This master's course offers an introduction into formal semantic and pragmatic theories of discourse. Our focus will consist in dynamic approaches to discourse, in particular DRT style treatments of the following phenomena: anphoric relations in discourse, presupposition, implicature, information structure, discourse relations as well as formal models of dialogue and common ground.
