This seminar offers students of Linguistics and Clinical Linguistics the opportunity to refresh and expand the methodological skills acquired during their Bachelor's studies. It is closely linked to the seminar Experimental Methods in Linguistics (EM), and it is strongly recommended to attend both seminars together.
While this AQuaM course focuses on data preparation and analysis, the seminar EM (Experimental Methods) emphasizes the planning and implementation of empirical linguistic studies. The content of both seminars forms the basis for the module examination.
Moreover, students will have the opportunity to discuss methodological and statistical issues related to their individual research projects and Master's theses.
This seminar directly complements the course Experimental Methods in Linguistics. It is strongly recommended to take both courses together!
Basic knowledge of quantitative-empirical methods from the Bachelor's program in Linguistics is required and should be reviewed before the start of the course if necessary. Relevant materials can be found in the Moodle of the course on Quantitative Methods from the summer semester 2025.
The literature will be announced during the course.
