270020 Associated Seminar in Biopsychology I (S) (WiSe 2025/2026)

Contents, comment

The seminar accompanies, deepens and supplements the contents of the lecture Biopsychology I. The contents include neuroanatomy, signal transmission in the nervous system and an introduction to the sensory systems. In the seminar, students give short presentations on selected topics from the lecture. Furthermore, the contents of the lecture are deepened, illustrated and discussed using case studies or practical applications.

Requirements for participation, required level

The seminar takes place in person. Participation in the seminar only makes sense if the lecture Biopsychology I is taken at the same time or has already been taken.

Student information

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.


All students must prepare a short presentation (20 minutes) on a given topic followed by a discussion as part of the seminar. Active participation in the group discussion is required.
