Masterseminar im Controlling (312828) bei Prof. Regina Ortmann

Erarbeitung eines wissenschaftlichen Literaturstrangs am Thema „Myopia“
Myopia bezeichnet im Controlling die einseitige Ausrichtung auf kurzfristige finanzielle Kennzahlen, wodurch langfristige Ziele, Investitionen und immaterielle Erfolgsfaktoren vernachlässigt werden. Sie entsteht oft durch falsche Anreizsysteme, Quartalsdenken
und monodimensionale Steuerungslogiken. Myopia stellt ein Kernthema im Bereich des Controllings dar. Exemplarisch anhand
dieses Themas soll im Seminar vermittelt werden, wie die Studierenden sich Literaturstränge e􀆯izient und umfassend erarbeiten können, um darauf aufbauend innovative Forschungsfragen abzuleiten.

1.) inhaltliche Diskussion (gemeinsam im Kurs) des für den Literaturstrang wegweisenden Papiers: Dutta, S., & Reichelstein, S. J. (2003). Leading indicator variables, performance measurement and long-term versus short-term contracts. Journal of Accounting Research, 41(5), 837–866. https://doi.org/10.1046/j.1475-679X.2003.00125.x. Das Papier muss von den Studierenden zu diesem Termin inhaltlich gut vorbereitet werden!
2.) Besprechung von Methoden und Vorgehensweisen zum Finden, Beurteilen, Strukturieren und Zusammenfassen von Papieren eines
Themengebiets am Beispiel von „Myopia“

27. Juni von 12.00 - 18.00 h
1. Prüfungsleistung: inhaltliche Vorstellung eines Papiers zum Thema Myopia im Controlling (je nach Teilnehmerzahl Präsentation als Gruppe). Papier wird am 14. Juni zugeteilt.
30: August
2. Prüfungsleistung: schriftliche Abgabe eines selbstentwickelten Literaturüberblicks zum Thema Myopia im Controlling (je nach Teilnehmerzahl evtl. als Gruppenarbeit), inkl. daraus abgeleiteter Forschungsfragen.
