Vermittlung der Grundlagen und Konzepte des Natur- und Umweltschutzes. Nach einer Einführung in die Grundlagen und aktuelle Fragestellungen / Großprojekte des Naturschutzes in Deutschland (Seminartermine nach Absprache) werden unterschiedliche Naturschutzprojekte und -formen auf einer Exkursion (Juli/August, voraussichtlich Region Eifel (Vulkaneifel, Nationalpark Eifel)) anschaulich vorgestellt und die Schwerpunkte / Strategien des Naturschutzes erarbeitet.

Kenntnisse der Formenvielfalt der Organismen sind eine Schlüsselkompetenz in der Ökologie. Eine Wiederauffrischung und Erweiterung der Artenkenntnis in den entsprechend angebotenen Lehrveranstaltungen und kleinen Exkursionen wird empfohlen. Die endgültige Terminabsprache und Exkursionsanmeldung erfolgt bei der Vorbesprechung am 9. April (13.00 Uhr in W0-107).
