Die Krisen in Europa sind vielfältig und bedrohen die Zukunftsfähigkeit der EU. Neben der inneren Krise um die Euro-Zone, die wichtige, für die Europäische Union existenzielle Fragen aufgeworfen hat, steht die EU nun vor den Herausforderungen der Flüchtlingsproblematik, die erneut ihren Zusammenhalt infrage stellt. Nationale Interessen überlagern europäische und offenbaren die institutionellen Konstruktionsfehler der EU. Der Zuwachs für rechtspopulistische und europakritische Parteien wird die politische Landschaft Europas verändern. Welche Schritte sind notwendig, um das historische Friedensprojekt Europa wieder sicher zu machen, was kann eine Europa- Bildung leisten und wie muss deren Didaktik vor dem Hintergrund dieser Herausforderungen aussehen?

Im Seminar werden wesentliche Grundlagen zur Europäischen Union, fachwissenschaftliche Theoriekonzepte und didaktische Ansätze erarbeitet und fachdidaktisch analysiert.
