Die Vorlesung behandelt die Themen Aufmerksamkeit, Wahrnehmung und Gedächtnis aus neurokognitiver Perspektive, d.h. als basale Informationsverarbeitungsleistungen menschlicher und tierischer Gehirne. Ein zentrales Lernziel liegt darin zu zeigen, welche Erkenntnisse aus Verhaltensexperimenten in Kombination mit neurowissenschaftlichen Methoden (z.B. EEG, Patientenstudien, fMRT) gewonnen werden können. Eine sinnvolle Teilnahme setzt Grundwissen über experimentelle allgemeine und biologische Psychologie sowie die Vorlesung X.1 voraus.

Requirements for participation, required level

Die Vorlesung „Einführung in die neurokognitive Psychologie“ richtet sich primär an BSc Hauptfach-Studierende, die das Anwendungsfach „Neurowissenschaften“ gewählt haben. Grundlegende Kenntnisse in Allgemeiner Psychologie, Physiologischer Psychologie und Methodenlehre sowie der Besuch der Vorlesung „Einführung in die Neuropsychologie (X.1)“ werden vorausgesetzt.
