Unter Kriegsbedingungen können gesellschaftliche Strukturen transformieren, insbesondere in Richtung zentraler Steuerung und hierarchischer Differenzierung nach militärischem Vorbild. Dies wird besonders deutlich in der Zeit der Weltkriege. Anhand ausgewählter Kriegsgesellschaften sollen kriegsgesellschaftliche Transformationsprozesse untersucht werden.
Das Seminar wendet sich an historische interessierte und kompetente Studierende, die bereit sind, sich anhand geschichtswissenschaftlicher Literatur in die historische Materie einzuarbeiten.
