Dieser Kurs bietet eine Einführung in die sozialwissenschaftliche Auseinandersetzung mit transnationalen Familien im Kontext von Migration.
Im Fokus stehen familiale Beziehungen über nationale Grenzen hinweg, Care-Arbeit, Geschlechterverhältnisse, Generationenbeziehungen,
rechtliche Rahmenbedingungen sowie Fragen von Ungleichheit, Zugehörigkeit und Alltagspraxis.
Der Kurs verbindet theoretische Ansätze mit empirischen Fallstudien aus verschiedenen Weltregionen und legt Wert auf kritische Reflexion und Diskussion.

Grundkenntnisse über Migrationstheorie sind von Vorteil, sowie Kenntnisse der Familiensoziologie.
