Studierende 1-21

  • Die Studierenden können die historische Entwicklung der Medizin als Wissenschaft an einem konkreten Beispiel reflektieren.
  • Sie sind in der Lage, exemplarisch medizinische Begriffe wissenschaftstheoretisch zu reflektieren.
  • Sie können an einem Beispiel der empirischen und experimentellen Forschung wissenschaftstheoretische Konzepte erläutern.
  • Sie können an einem Beispiel der empirischen und experimentellen Forschung die historische Entwicklung wichtiger medizinischer Begriffe erläutern.

  • Ein besonders wichtiges Konzept in der wissenschaftlichen Medizin ist die \"Evidence-based Medicine\" (EbM). Doch was ist EbM und wie entstand sie? In diesem Seminar wird dies anhand von zwei konkreten Fallbeispielen historisch und wissenschaftstheoretisch analysiert und reflektiert.
  • Wir diskutieren ein Fallbeispiel aus der Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts, als in einer der ersten kontrollierten Studien krankhafter Vitamin-C-Mangel als Ursache des Skorbuts unter Seeleuten nachgewiesen wurde. Dieses kontrastieren wir mit einem Fallbeispiel aus den 1980er Jahren als evidenzbasierte Medizin in die Geburtshilfe einzog. Welche Ähnlichkeiten und welche Unterschiede gibt es? Was lehrt uns die wissenschaftstheoretische und -historische Analyse der Fallbeispiele über die Ausbildung von wissenschaftlichem Wissen in der Medizin? Und was muss man wissen, um diese Fragen zu beantworten und richtige Schlüsse ziehen zu können?
