Starting from Theodore Roszak's ideas about the making of a counterculture, we will discuss various political, historical and artistic aspects of counterculture in America in the turbulent period of the 1960s and 70s. Our focus will be on negotiations of counter and/or alternative models to mainstream society in politics, media and literature.
