Das Markusevangelium, wohl das älteste der vier im NT überlieferten Evangelien, wird häufig unterschätzt, wiewohl es sowohl in historischer, als aber auch in literarischer und theologischer Hinsicht einiges zu bieten hat. Ziel der Vorlesung ist es, in das Markusevangelium einzuführen, einen Überblick über seine historischen, literarischen und theologischen Probleme zu gewinnen und mit der Geschichte Jesu, gesehen durch die Perspektive eines urchristlichen Gläubigen, vertraut zu werden. Diese Vorlesung stellt eine eigenständige Veranstaltung dar, aber ergänzt auch das Seminar zum Markusevangelium und seiner Verwendung im Religionsunterricht.
