Die Ringvorlesung hat das Ziel, Chancen und Grenzen interdisziplinärer Zusammenarbeit zu systematisieren und zu bewerten. Im Laufe des Semesters werden Vertreter unterschiedlicher Disziplinen (Linguistik, Medizin, Anthropologie, Physik, Soziologie, Jura, Kunstphilosophie, Musikwissenschaft, Theologie etc.) mit jeweils einem Literaturwissenschaftler darüber diskutieren, welche gemeinsamen Gegenstände und Fragestellungen interessieren, welche Forschungsansätze bereits vorhanden sind und wie man die Perspektiven interdisziplinärer Zusammenarbeit einschätzen kann.
