Im Seminar geht es um eine erziehungswissenschaftlich motivierte Auseinandersetzung mit dem auf Michel Foucault zurückgehenden Konzept der Gouvernementalität. In seinen historischen Analysen stellt Foucault die individualistischen Tendenzen der Moderne unter das Signum der Regierung des Menschen: Allerdings regiert kein König und kein Gesetz, sondern die Subjekte sind vielmehr angehalten, sich selbst zu regieren, ihren Körper, ihre Emotionen, ihr Denken zu führen. Im Seminar geht es darum, grundlegende Aspekte des Konzepts der Gouvernementalität zu erarbeiten und in Hinsicht auf seine Relevanz in pädagogischen Selbstverständnissen und Handlungsfeldern zu überprüfen.
Fragen zum Ablauf, der Teilnahme und den Leistungskriterien werden in der ersten Seminarsitzung geklärt.
