Wir werden uns im Seminar mit verschiedenen Formen von Scherzkommunikation beschäftigen; dabei wird es u.a. um Ironie, Frotzeln, Witze erzählen und weitere Formen gehen. Die übergeordnete Fragestellung ist dabei geprächsanalytisch ausgerichtet:
- Wie sind scherzkommunikative Aktivitäten in die sie umgebende konversationelle Umgebung eingebettet?
- Wie machen SprecherInnen deutlich, dass sie gerade scherzen?
- Welche interaktiven Aufgaben (z.B. auf der Beziehungsebene) werden durch die Produktion verschiedener Scherzformate bearbeitet?

Requirements for participation, required level

- Die TeilnehmerInnen sollten über Grundkenntnisse gesprächs- und konversationsanalytischen Arbeitens verfügen.
- Der Umgang mit englischsprachigen Fachtexten sollte kein Problem darstellen.
