Die für Master-Studierende der Literaturwissenschaft verpflichtende Einführungsveranstaltung vermittelt systematisches Grundwissen zu Konzepten und Methoden der aktuellen Vergleichenden Literaturwissenschaft. Zentrale Begriffe, Modelle und Theorien der Komparatistik werden im Rahmen der Lektüre einschlägiger theoretischer Texte sowie im Umgang mit exemplarischen literarischen Texten verschiedener Epochen der romanischen Literaturen vom Mittelalter bis zur Gegenwart erarbeitet.
Die Veranstaltung wird von einem Tutorium begleitet, in dem der selbstständige Umgang mit den vorgestellten Begriffen und Methoden der Vergleichenden Literaturwissenschaft eingeübt und vertieft wird. Die Textmaterialien werden zu Semesterbeginn auf Stud.IP bereitgestellt.
