230237 "Ich kann solch lautes Grübeln / der Kröte nur verübeln" - Sinn und Unsinn bei Christian Morgenstern (S) (WiSe 2014/2015)

Wer Nonsens(e)-Anthologien oder Sammlungen mit Gedichten für Kinder aufschlägt, kann sich beinahe sicher sein, auf den Dichter Christian Morgenstern (1871-1914) zu stoßen. Somit scheinen Morgensterns Texte, meist den Bänden Galgenlieder (1905) oder Palmström (1910) entnommen, als Gegenentwürfe zu gedankenschwerer Lyrik zu gelten, als (Sprach-)Spiele, die allein des Spieles wegen, aus purer Lust am Unfug betrieben werden. An (gemeinsam) ausgewählten Beispielen wollen wir untersuchen, inwieweit sich die Texte der Sphäre des Unsinnigen nicht vielleicht doch entziehen lassen. Diese Kategorie soll dabei selbst problematisiert und im Kontext kursierender, verwandter Begrifflichkeiten wie "Nicht-Sinn", "Widersinn" oder "Blödsinn", aber auch auf Attribute wie grotesk, absurd oder unlogisch hin diskutiert werden. Über die zwei genannten Gedichtbände hinaus soll ein Blick auf das restliche – vergleichsweise unbekannte – Morgenstern-Oeuvre (natürlich auch Prosa) die Fragestellung des Seminars weiter akzentuieren.

Requirements for participation, required level

Lautes Grübeln im gemeinsamen Seminargespräch. Aufgrund der Fragestellung ist das Seminar besonders diskussionsintensiv. Passives Teilnehmen hat hier in der Tat wenig SINN.
