230101 Generative Syntax (S) (WiSe 2014/2015)

Der Begriff "Generative Grammatik" umfasst ein von Chomsky entwickeltes Sprachmodell, welches das Generieren von Regeln und somit das Ableiten von sprachlichen Ausdrücken beschreibt.
Im Mittelpunkt dieses Seminars stehen ausgewählte Phänomene aus der Syntax natürlicher Sprachen und ihre Betrachtung aus der Sicht der generativen Grammatik. Dabei spielen zwei wesentliche Bereiche eine Rolle: Einerseits geht es darum, das Verständnis für Sprache und Grammatik der Generativisten nachzuvollziehen und die historische Entwicklung der Generativen Grammatik zu verfolgen. Andererseits lernen die Studierenden das eigenständige Arbeiten mit dem generativen Syntax-Modell anhand von Übungen.
