Das Seminar sollte nicht über 50 Teilnehmer(innen) haben. Student(inn)en, die an der Veranstaltung teilnehmen wollen, sollten sich in die in T8-201 ausliegende Teilnehmerliste eintragen.

Contents, comment

In den aktuellen Diskussionen zur Gewalt herrscht große Unübersichtlichkeit. Die terroristische Gewalt, Gewalt in der Schule, sexuelle Gewalt, Gewalt in den Medien werden im gleichen Atemzug genannt. Politischer, soziologischer, pädagogischer, medizinischer und juristischer Diskurs vermischen sich. Angesichts dieser Unübersichtlichkeit ist eine sorgfältige Differenzierungsarbeit notwendig. Staatsgewalt bzw. Gewaltmonopol, körperliche Gewalt, psychische Gewalt sollten unterschieden werden. Neben der Begriffsanalyse sollten normative Fragen untersucht werden. Gibt es überhaupt eine legitime Gewalt? Wie unterscheidet sich eine legitime von einer illegitimen Gewalt? Ausgehend von einigen klassischen Texten wird das Seminar einige Dimensionen der Gewalt systematisch erkunden.

Eine Leistungsbescheinigung (BA- oder Master of Education-Studiengang) wird ausgestellt für regelmäßige Teilnahme und zwei kurze Essays, die im Laufe des Semesters zu verfassen sind.
Ein Leistungsnachweis (Magister- oder Lehramts-Studiengang) wird ausgestellt für eine schriftliche Hausarbeit im Umfang von 15-20 Seiten.

BA-Studiengang: Abschluss des ersten Studienjahres.
Magister- und Lehramts-Studiengänge: Zwischenprüfung.

Bibliography

Die Literatur wird zu Beginn des Semesters in Form eines Readers zum Selbstkostenpreis zur Verfügung gestellt.
