Der Erwerb der mündlichen Sprache ist ein komplexer Prozeß und vollzieht sich individuell sehr unterschiedlich, so daß schon die Beschreibung eines altersgemäßen normgerechten Verlaufs oft problematisch ist. Dennoch ist es das Ziel der Sprachentwicklungsforschung, Regularitäten und universell gültige Entwicklungsverläufe aufzudecken.
Ziel der Veranstaltung ist die Einführung in grundlegende Fragen der Sprachentwicklungsforschung aus psycholinguistischer Sicht. Das Seminar behandelt einerseits die theoretischen Grundlagen der präverbalen, der phonetisch-phonologischen, lexikalisch-konzeptuellen und grammatischen Entwicklung. Empirische Studien werden zu den verschiedenen Phasen und linguistischen Ebenen ausgewertet.
Das methodologische Vorgehen in der Entwicklungspsychologie erfordert hierbei spezielle Berücksichtigung. Es wird in praktischen Teil darüber hinaus die Analyse von Sprachdaten geübt und Anwendungsmöglichkeiten der Erstspracherwerbsforschung vs. L2 diskutiert.
