Zentral in diesem Seminar ist die Frage „Wie kann man das Wissen über unsere kognitive Funktion erweitern“. Dazu werden nicht nur die philosophischen Grundlagen, sondern auch die Rolle des Experiments, der qualitativen Analysen, der Computermodelle und der Theoriebildung und ihre gegenseitigen Einflüsse behandelt. Dazu werden neben theoretischen auch experimentelle Arbeiten diskutiert.
