Die Cultural Studies setzen das Verhältnis von Kultur, Medien und Macht in den Mittelpunkt ihrer Analysen. Was dies genau bedeutet, welche Perspektiven hierdurch eröffnet werden und wie diese Einfluss auf die Erziehungswissenschaft nehmen und genommen haben, werden wir im Seminar genauer unter die Lupe nehmen.
Hierfür werden wir uns u.a. mit verschiedenen Vertreter*innen der Denkrichtung auseinandersetzen sowie einen historischen Blick auf die Cultural Studies werfen. Außerdem werden wir uns mit der Frage beschäftigen, welche Haltung sich aus einer solchen Perspektive generiert.
