In diesem Seminar geht es um das didaktische Potential von imaginativen und fiktionalen Geschichten. Nachdem zunächst geklärt werden soll, in welchem Verhältnis Fakten, Fiktionen und Imaginationen zueinander stehen, wird anhand verschiedener Text- und Medienarten (historischer Roman, Autofiktion, Dokumentation, Spielfilm) beispielhaft am Thema DDR-Geschichte deren konkreter Einsatz für den Geschichtsunterricht diskutiert.
Das Seminar stellt die Frage, ob und inwiefern sich historische Ereignisse im kulturellen Gedächtnis einprägen und dort nachwirken und wie dabei Faktisches und Fiktives miteinander verwoben wird.
