402331 Epidemiologische Studiendesigns und statistische Verfahren (S) (WiSe 2024/2025)

Contents, comment

This course is for students who, in addition to applying basic epidemiological knowledge, are interested in epidemiological research and current issues in epidemiology, and perhaps want to work as epidemiologists themselves.
The overarching learning objective of the course is that the students independently plan their own research project and present it in a research proposal.
The course consists of two parts: one focussed on statistics and one on epidemiological study designs. The course is taught in English and students prepare and present their research proposal in English. This reflects the international character of research and prepares the students appropriately for an academic career.
