230326 Experimentell arbeiten in der Linguistik (S) (WiSe 2024/2025)

Contents, comment

This seminar offers students of Linguistics and Clinical Linguistics the opportunity to refresh and expand the methodological skills acquired during their Bachelor's studies. It is closely linked to the seminar Advanced Quantitative Methods in Linguistics, and it is strongly recommended to attend both seminars together.

While the AQuaM course focuses on data preparation and analysis, the seminar EM (Experimental Methods) emphasizes the planning and implementation of empirical linguistic studies. The content of both seminars forms the basis for the module examination

Moreover, students will have the opportunity to discuss methodological and statistical issues related to their individual research projects and Master's theses.

Requirements for participation, required level

This seminar directly complements the course Advanced Quantitative Methods in Linguistics. It is strongly recommended to take both courses together!
