300553 Räumliche Ungleichheit analysieren: Von der Kartierung zu kausalen Methoden (MA: Sozialstruktur und soziale Ungleichheit) (S) (WiSe 2025/2026)

Inwieweit hängt soziale Ungleichheit davon ab, wo man geboren ist, lebt oder arbeitet? Dieser Frage widmet sich das Masterseminar „Räumliche Ungleichheit analysieren“ sowohl in theoretischer als auch methodischer Hinsicht. Das Seminar ist zweigeteilt konzipiert, wobei die Studierenden in theoretischen Einheiten ausgewählte Theorien, Hypothesen und angewandte Methoden der räumlichen Soziologie kennenlernen. Im computergestützten Teil des Seminars lernen die Teilnehmenden unter anderem wie sie mithilfe der Programmiersprache Python Karten erstellen, räumliche Datensätze miteinander verschneiden und raumbasierte Machine Learning Algorithmen anwenden, um die räumliche Dimension sozialer Ungleichheit zu visualisieren und deskriptiv zu analysieren.
