Die lyrische Imagination hat sich seit jeher auf sich selbst zurückgewendet, so dass die literarische Tradition reich ist an „Gedichten über das Gedicht“. Dies gilt insbesondere von der deutschsprachigen Lyrik seit Klopstock, seit der Zeit also, wo sich die Literatur endgültig von Zwecken außerhalb ihrer selbst emanzipiert. Diese Traditionslinie wollen wir im Seminar nachverfolgen und durch „close readings“ ausgewählter Gedichte konkretisieren. Die Texte werden auf der Lernplattform Stud.IP zum Download bereitgestellt.
