240384 Alternative Assessment Strategies in Mathematics – From Research to Classroom Practice (S) (SoSe 2014)

Contents, comment

This course explores the implications of international research and findings associated with best practice in assessment for primary mathematics. The emphasis will be on formative assessment strategies and tasks that enable teachers to „get to know“ students mathematically, and then design effective and responsive instruction. Task-based interviews and rich assessment tasks will be two important foci, along with the importance of teacher observation and listening.
