220054 Lektüre Französischer Althistoriker (Ü+GSH) (SoSe 2014)

In der Lehrveranstaltung sollen Beiträge der französischen Geschichtsforschung zu ausgewählten Themen und Epochen der Alten Geschichte behandelt werden. Der Schwerpunkt wird dabei auf kulturhistorischen und anthropologischen Fragestellungen liegen.
Ausgehend von dem epochemachenden Werk von Fustel de Coulanges „über die Stadt“ („La Cité“) aus dem Jahre 1864, das den Schwerpunkt der ersten Sitzungen bilden wird, schlagen wir den Bogen zu zeitgenössischen Historikern wie Paul Veyne, Jean‐Pierre Vernant, Claude Nicolet und Dominique Briquel . Die Werke weiterer Autoren können von den Teilnehmern/Teilnehmerinnen für Referate recherchiert werden.
Es besteht die Möglichkeit die Lehrveranstaltung als GSH (4LP) oder Sprachübung (2LP) bescheinigt zu bekommen. Dafür müssen eine mündliche Prüfung (GSH) absolviert oder ein Einzelreferat (das die Zusammenfassung eines französischsprachigen Artikels bzw. einer Monographie umfasst) übernommen werden. Von allen Teilnehmern/Teilnehmerinnen wird die vorbereitende Lektüre für die jeweils nächste Sitzung erwartet.

Requirements for participation, required level

Die Texte werden primär in der Originalsprache gelesen. Eine zumindest passive Kenntnis des Französischen ist daher Pflicht für die Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung.
