In der Vorlesung Ambient Interfaces werden Konzepte, Techniken und Anwendungen der Ambient Intelligence vorgestellt. Nach einer grundlegenden Einführung und Definition des Feldes werden soziale, ethische und ökonomische Implikationen von Ambient Intelligence diskutiert. Dem schließen sich Exkurse in die eng verwandten Nachbargebiete Tangible User Interfaces, Sonification/Auditory Display, Ubiquitous Computing und Wearable Computing an, welche zentrale Impulse für aktuelle Ambient Interfaces geben. In einem eher anwendungsorientierten Teil besprechen wir dann verschiedene praktische Perspektiven von Ambient Interfaces, im Smart Home, zum ortsgebundenen oder zum mobilen Monitoring von Informationen, z.B. mittels Auditiver Augmentierung, bis zu kognitiven Assistenzsystemen.
