Gegenstand der Veranstaltung sind die im besonderen Teil des Schuldrechts geregelten gesetzliche Schuldverhältnisse der Geschäftsführung ohne Auftrag des Bereicherungsrechts und des Deliktsrechts. Die Veranstaltung vervollständigt damit die Behandlung des Schuldrechts, wie sie mit der Vorlesung aus dem 2. Semester (allg. Schuldrecht und vertragliche Schuldverhältnisse) begonnen worden ist.
Als Literatur kommen die bekannten Schuldrechtslehrbücher (z.B. Looschelders, Medicus/Lorenz und Brox/Walker) sowie weitere speziellere Veröffentlichungen, die in der Veranstaltung bekannt gegeben werden, in Betracht.
