In this colloquium, BA students can present and discuss research proposals or chapters of your theses. The topic of your research should fall under the broad area of sociology and anthropology of the global world. Works are welcome in but not limited to topics such as migration and mobility, informal economy, globalization, social inequalities (e.g. along class, gender, age), development, care and welfare. Depending on the number of students, research projects that are related to each other will be grouped together. You can present your work in either German or English. You will be required to circulate your text (proposal, thesis or chapters) at least three days before the date of your presentation and attend your classmates' presentations as much as you can. The aim is for each participant to have 30-45 minutes to present and discuss their on-going work. The colloquium will take place in a number of blocks. Specific time schedule will be available once the number of presenters is established.
The colloquium is suitable for those working on their BA theses.
