Dieses interdisziplinäre Seminar richtet sich an Studierende der Biotechnologie (B.A. und M.A.) und der Philosophie (B:A.). Über die kritische Auseinandersetzung mit Texten verschiedener Art erörtert es die ehtischen Dimensionen aktueller biotechnologischer Möglichkeiten. Dabei wird es sich vor allem mit verschiedenen Aspekten der Gentechnik, der Reproduktionsmedizin, der synthetischen Biologie und den Fragen rund um das Thema Biosicherheit und Biobanken für die wissenschaftliche Forschung auseinandersetzen. Willkommen sind alle Studierende, die sich gern kritisch mit diesen und anderen bioethischne Fragen und Problemen beschäftigen und bereit sind, wöchentlich aktiv am Seminar teilzunehmen und dieses mit intensiver Textarbeit vorzubereiten.

Voraussetzung für die Vergabe von 2 Leistungspunkten (Bachelor Einschreibung bis SoSe 11 und Master of Education) ist die regelmäßige Teilnahme sowie das Erbringen des schriftlichen oder mündlichen Beitrags im Umfang von maximal 1200 Wörtern für das Modulportfolio, auf dem die unbenotete Moduleinzelleistung beruht. Die Anforderungen für den Modulportfolio-Beitrag werden zu Veranstaltungsbeginn bekannt gegeben.
Voraussetzung für die Vergabe von 3 Leistungspunkten (Einschreibung ab WS 11/12) ist das Erbringen des schriftlichen oder mündlichen Beitrags im Umfang von maximal 1200 Wörtern bzw. 10-20 Minuten. Die genauen Anforderungen werden zu Veranstaltungsbeginn bekannt gegeben.
