239885 Sprachen und Migration (S) (SoSe 2014)

Globalisierung und Migration haben zu einer weltweiten Durchmischung von Sprachen geführt. Dies wird langfristig die Struktur vieler Sprachen verändern und es führt zu besonderen Herausforderungen für die davon betroffenen Sprecher. Im Mittelpunkt dieses Seminars wird die sprachliche Situation in Bielefeld und Ostwestfalen stehen. Wir erarbeiten uns einen Überblick über die Zahl der Sprachen, die in dieser Region gesprochen werden (sicherlich mehr als 150) und analysieren exemplarisch linguistische Strukturen dieser Sprachen sowie aus der Mehrsprachigkeit entstandene Kommunikationsbedingungen. Theorien und Methoden werden dabei aus der Sprachtypologie, der vergleichenden Sprachwissenschaft, der Sprachkontaktforschung und der Soziolinguistik entnommen. Von den Teilnehmenden wird erwartet, dass sie sich an den damit verbunden Feldforschungen beteiligen. Damit soll grundlegendes Wissen über den Zusammenhang von Sprachen und Migration erworben werden sowie Kompetenzen in der Anwendung einschlägiger Forschungsmethoden.
