In der Einführungsvorlesung werden unter anderem folgende Inhalte vermittelt: Formen des Lernens, menschliches Gedächtnis, Arten der Wissensrepräsentation im Langzeitgedächtnis, Leistungsmotivation, Motivationsförderung im Schulalltag, Prinzipien des selbstgesteuerten Lernens, Lernstrategien, Metakognition, Leistungsbewertung. Das Wissen wird an praktischen Beispielen erläutert. Leistungspunkte bzw. Scheine können über die Abgabe der Vorlesungsmitschrift (aktive Teilnahme) bzw. eine Klausur (unbenotete Einzelleistung) erworben werden.
