Literarische Gesellschaften und Literaturmuseen sind wichtige Institutionen der Literaturvermittlung, um die es in diesem Seminar gehen wird. In fünf einführenden Sitzungen werden wir Zugänge zu diesem wichtigen literarisch-kulturellen Praxisfeld reflektieren. Dann wird das Seminar durch eine einwöchige Exkursion in süddeutsche Literaturmuseen fortgeführt. Die Exkursion ist also verbindlicher Bestandteil des Seminars. Wir wollen uns dabei fragen, wie heute Literatur öffentlich inszeniert wird und was man an Literatur überhaupt anschaulich machen, zeigen kann. Besucht werden sollen voraussichtlich das Faust-Museum in Knittlingen bei Maulbronn, das Hesse-Museum in Calw, der Hölderlin-Turm in Tübingen, das Drostemuseum in Meersburg, das Mörike-Museum in Cleversulzbach, die Württembergische Landesbibliothek in Stuttgart (Hölderlin-Archiv, George Archiv) und das Schiller-Nationalmuseum/Deutsches Literaturarchiv in Marbach/Neckar.
Die Exkursion wird vom 09.06. bis zum 15.06.2014 stattfinden. Die Exkursion wird bezuschusst. Wir werden im Naturfreundehaus Tuttlingen-Möhringen übernachten und von dort aus Tagesfahrten mit dem Bus unternehmen.Eine verbindliche Anmeldung ab sofort bis spätestens zum 11. April 2014 ist erforderlich unter Anzahlung von € 100 bei Frau Beyn (Zimmer D 4 – 110, Tel.: 0521–1065264, vormittags bis 12.30 Uhr). Die Teilnehmerzahl ist auf 50 begrenzt (Kooperation mit dem gemeinsam mit Prof. Dr. Meinolf Schumacher veranstalteten Seminar 'Karneval: Theorie und Geschichte').
