Dieser Kurs befasst sich mit multi-variater und multi-faktorieller Statistik. Statistik und statistische Analyse von multi-faktoriellen Datensätzen spielt sowohl in der Grundlagenforschung als auch in vielen Berufsfeldern eine wichtige Rolle. Im Kurs werden wir verschiedene Techniken zur Analyse multi-faktorieller Designs behandeln, darunter ANOVA (independent, “repeated measures”, “mixed design”), MANOVA, und Faktorenanalyse.
Im Kurs werden die einzelnen Analyseverfahren konzeptuell erläutert und deren Durchführung in SPSS anhand von Beispielen veranschaulicht. Wichtige Aspekte sind dabei auch die graphische Darstellung multi-faktorieller Datensätze, die Exploration der Daten hinsichtlich von Annahmen die den jeweiligen Tests zu Grunde liegen, und die Interpretation der SPSS Ausgabe. Die KursteilnehmerInnen erhalten die Gelegenheit, die Durchführung der jeweiligen Analysen in SPSS anhand von Übungsbeispielen einzuüben und zu vertiefen.
Die einzelnen Themen beziehen sich auf das Buch "Discovering statistics using SPSS" von Andy Field (siehe Literaturangabe). Sie finden eine Version dieses Buchs im Semesterapparat. Der Kurs wird auf Deutsch abgehalten, wobei die Kursmaterialien und Literatur in Englisch verfasst sind.

Grundlegende Statistik-Kenntnisse sind wünschenswert (z.B. Kapitel 1 und 2 in Field, 2009).
