Was hat Literatur mit dem Leben zu tun? Das Seminar versucht, Antworten auf diese Frage zu finden, wobei grundsätzlich verschiedene Antworten möglich sind. Entsprechend werden verschiedene theoretische Modelle erprobt bzw. entwickelt, die helfen sollen, das Verhältnis von Literatur und Leben zu beschreiben. Eine gewisse 'Theorielastigkeit' ist dem Seminar also mitgegeben, was aber dadurch wiederum kompensiert wird, dass es stets auch um die lebensweltlichen bzw. lebenspraktischen Seiten der Literatur geht.
Das Seminar ist forschungsnah konzipiert, das bedeutet: Studierende sollten das Interesse für eine offene und durchaus anspruchsvolle Forschungsfrage sowie die Bereitschaft zur intensiven Diskussion und zum eigenständigen Denken mitbringen! Andernfalls ist eine Teilnahme an dem Seminar nicht sinnvoll.
